WishPoints paired its scoring system with perks from partner brands. The more influence a member earned, meaning the more often friends saved their discoveries, the better the rewards on offer. The tiers below describe the 2017 plan and are not current offers.
Helicopter and charter sponsor
The first sponsor was an aviation company offering on-demand helicopter rides and private jet charters. Perks were organised by influence points:
- 1,000 points: a discount of a quarter on a helicopter ride over a major city.
- 2,500 points: half off the same kind of ride.
- 5,000 points: thirty free minutes for one passenger, with a reduced rate for others.
- 10,000 points: one free hour for two passengers, with a reduced rate for extra guests.
Charter discounts followed the same ladder: a small percentage off any jet size at 5,000 points, and roughly double that at 10,000.
Adventure gear pass, announced as upcoming
A second sponsor was described as “coming soon”. It was a card for travellers that lets holders pick up free sports equipment, such as skis, snowboards, surfboards, paddleboards or mountain bikes, from rental shops around the world. It was pitched at people on a gap year, a sabbatical or simply keen to get more from a trip.
Planned perks ranged from a few months of club membership at about 1,000 points to six months of any standard card, or a month of a premium card, at 5,000. A referral bonus was also mentioned: every ten friends invited would earn a membership code to use or give away.
Why sponsors take part
Sponsors gain exposure to people at the moment they are choosing trips, while members get something tangible for their sharing. The ambassadors page explains how points are earned, and deals lists further partner offers.
